New garden coming to town
Several community members gathered near Episcopal Church of the Trinity on Friday morning to help launch a community garden project in the city.
The lot, located near the intersection of Third Avenue and East Lincoln Highway, is owned by Chetty Builders. The company granted the church permission to make a garden there until it is ready to build a residential tower project, according to Interim City Manager Ted Reed.
This garden will include flowers, gleaning beds, art stations set up by Art Partners Studio. The garden bed building day is scheduled for May 8.
What is your opinion of this project?
