why is the flyer announcing tonights meeting available in city hall? that's good but what if we don't have a reason to be in city hall. i am willing to bet that must citizens in coatesville don;t even know where city hall is. to get the word out why not use the postal system. again i am wiling to bet that the post office would be happy to assist in this matter. that way everyone would have a better chance of knowing about tonights meeting.

also, i seem to remember a meeting about a year or so ago when cleaning up the trash on porches was discussed. i am glad to hear that action was taken.

They might be able to help us.

Why didn't Walker, the great, make this a state of emergency?
Where was he?
Nevermind, I think we all know.

Let’s be reminded that the City officials are all about Money. No Curfew at 7pm, why? It may slow down the drug traffic. Now they want to fine residences for items left on their property in front or back of their homes. Why? More Money, but willing to have city trucks drive around and pick up the items so they can charge you. Again More Money. Then because of all the vacant homes they will want to raise School Taxes. Why? You got it…

People say we need help, and then don't like it when help is finally available.

If the city cannot do anything, someone else will, and they will have 100% of my support!

Thank you, Guardian Angels, for giving us the chance to take our town back!

I guess with all the recent fires, they have forgotten about the rest of the crimes? This should elp with EVERYTHING!

I cannot wait to go and thal to them. I am glad there is someone who will help us keep our city safe, both now and in the future. More people should embrace this idea.

We received a voicemail on our house phone that the city will be going around on Wednesday morning to pick up any "combustable items such as couches and cardboard" to help with all the arsons. Unfortunately, again, the only way the message is getting out to the residents is via a voicemail that people may or may not get. Why does the city not use the postal service as someone once suggested to get messages out. I know our neighbors don't even have a tv, let alone an answering machine. how are they getting the message? Jenn, is there anyway that we can get this message in the papers in time for the pickup on Wednesday. I give the city credit for at least attempting to do something, but unfortunately, if it is not communicated well, then it will not be successful.

Yet ANOTHER fire Tuesday night, 2/3/09 on Chester Ave. (according to action news). I hope they can follow the foot prints in the snow like D-town police did. At this point I hope a home owner catches someone messing around in their back yard and beats the sh*t out of them, If the cops catch them they will just cuff them and throw them in the car, too easy of an ending for anyone that has done so much damage.

Why not form a citizen's Town Watch? Combined with a Curfew and cooperation with the Police Department, Coatesville residents can be proactive in protecting their homes and families. I DO NOT mean a vigilante group! But more bodies out walking with polce back-up, lighted properties, front and back as well as removing items that are easy to set on fire-- could go a long way in making it difficult for the arsonist(s)to go undetected.

Just a couple of things I'd like to mention. Anybody remember back in the day when we had a real curfew at 9pm? It was a big loud old horn on top of the Washies firehouse, it rang once at 9pm and then once more at 9:15pm. Can we use that again? is it still inside the old firehouse? How much to buy a new one if it is gone?
Also I would like some people to go to youtube.com, type in "Coatesville Fires" watch some of the videos and listen to the comments some of the people are making that are filming the videos, tell me what you think. There is one poster that has nothing but fires and fire related videos on his "page". Somebody mentioned on the other blog about 2 guys and a girl, well you can hear some sarcastic comments by 3 people filming the fires. 2 males and 1 female. Check it out for yourself and post your comment. I think the arsonist's are giving us clues we just have to recognize them. How about the dates that the fires are set, has anybody tried to analyze the dates to see if they match up to anything?? just my opinions.

The Guardian Angels are not a vigilante group. They are actually easier to spot by police, therefore not getting in the way of police.

Please, please, please...If you can't attend tonight's meeting, at least get involved with something!!

I checked out (or rather tried to) the you tube videos. A lot of them have been removed. Here's my take on them... know of other cases where the culprits have filmed the fires they set. I think that the police should contact the You Tube websute and get files of those videos. Kids generaklly do not keep their mouths shut, and are not good judges of character (when it comes to peeople to trust). They are letting us know SOMEHOW. It would bear some weight to investigate this . Also, I read somewhere that an article to read was about the fires. I cannot find that posting, so if anyone sees or knows of it, please post it back here. Thank you!
