It will be interesting to see how many Police Officers will spend $17.00 on his "retirement" party.

Retirement - is that what they're calling it? I guess when you score zero on the the job you "retire". Interesting.

They should have a covered dish dinner, and still charge 17.00 per person. The proceeds can go back into Coatesville's books to make up for all the money we lost while he was unable to perform his duties.

the only people that would attend this celebration are the people who are the brown nosers. If all it took was a party to get him to leave I would have thrown one myself. Perhaps now a policy can go into effect to use cameras that have sat useless while matthews was chief to help deter crime.

considering the current economic climate, and the mess that is Coatesville, perhaps he should just slip "quietly into that good night." The less said about him the better.

Shouldn't it read "Residents to Celbrate Retirement"?

Also, i never realized that two years equaled retirement.

I can't understand why They would not invite the citizens of Coatesville for a free dinner, on the Chief's tab? He made enough money on us, and did not go through with his word, so why shouldn't he give US an apology dinner?
