Friday's DLN will feature interviews with Chief Matthews and Harry Walker. I sat down with each of them separately today to discuss Matthews' performance to date, crime and the state of the police department.

Remember

Due to the rash of arsons that continue authorities ask city residents to report any suspicious activity, including but not limited to strangers disturbing trash cans or late-night trespassers by calling 911. Residents should also leave porch lights on at night, keep outside trash cans empty and wait until the night before trash pickup to take trash outside.

Authorities also ask anyone with information regarding any of the incidents to contact the State Police Fire Marshal Unit at 484-340-3643 or the Coatesville Police Department at 610-384-2300.
