City officials address 2010 budget again
At a special meeting last week, city administration asked City Council to consider a 2010 budget revision due to additional unforeseen expenditures which were apparently not included in the original budget, officials said.
City administration proposed a revised budget of about $10.7 million to City Council. The 2010 budget was originally approved at $9.9 million.
Council Vice President Karl Marking said council originally believed that the revisions would reduce the budget.
“It turns out we inherited a lot of surprises from the former administration,” Marking said. “Because of the prior administration’s inability to communicate the reality of the financial situation … we have inherited many problems and a budget increase that is unavoidable.”
Council is expected to address the budget revisions at the June 14 meeting.

Why does Coatesville have a program on WCHE? The station does not reach Coatesville. Occasionally I can get it fuzzy in my car at certain places in the city. This is a waste of $.
Coatesville is a waste of $
this blog should post new stuff or disappear.
Pretty sure this blog is dead now.
this blog is even starting to smell bad . Take it down or post some recent news
I would like to give some news on how the City could save money. How about getting rid of people who do not do there job and are a waste of the taxpayers money. Who brought Ted Reed in, he is just collecting a pay check like everyone else who does nothing. Why do we need a public speaker? And the Human Resourse person takes 2 hour lunches, dress's like a hooker and is a waste of money, there are alot of people doing nothing but collecting there pay. Why is that? Where is your balls Ted? And the waste of money at Ash Park, sit and read the paper all day and not pick up the trash, and have your friends come over...that is what i would want my tax dollars paying for. It is hard to believe that no one cares!!
